About Dornoch Castle Hotel

Dornoch Castle Hotel is a historic boutique hotel in the charming town of Dornoch, Sutherland. Renowned for its rich heritage, luxurious accommodations, and world-class hospitality, the hotel also boasts a deep connection to whisky through: The award-winning Dornoch Castle Whisky Bar. The on-site, world-famous Dornoch Distillery. The Thompson Bros whisky brand. We are on the cusp of exciting developments, including the Struie Distillery, a groundbreaking, off-grid-capable distillery powered entirely by renewable energy. In 2024, Dornoch Castle Hotel and Dornoch Distillery were brought into the Thompson Independent Traders group, which is now fundraising for the construction of Struie Distillery and further enhancements to both the distillery and the hotel.
