About Dorset Studio School

About Us Located in the heart of the Dorset countryside, our land-based secondary school offers a unique, hands-on education tailored to students with a passion for the natural world. Specialising in agriculture, land and environmental management, and animal care, we provide a dynamic curriculum that combines academic learning with real-world experience on the Kingston Maurward College campus and dedicated animal care facilities. Our school is committed to nurturing the next generation of rural professionals by equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to thrive in the land-based industries. Whether working with livestock, cultivating crops, managing woodland, or studying ecosystems, students are encouraged to explore their interests in a supportive and inspiring environment. We work closely with local farms, environmental organisations, and industry experts to ensure our programs reflect current practices and emerging trends. With a strong focus on sustainability, conservation, and innovation, we prepare our students not only for further education or employment but also to be responsible stewards of the land
