The company has earned a reputation for revitalizing underdeveloped, emerging areas. Founder and President Douglas Jemal established the company in 1985 as a private family-owned company and it has since grown into a fully integrated real estate developer with more than 100 employees. Between 1990-20017 the company expanded its portfolio from less than 250,000 sf to over 10 million sf expanding from 15 properties to over 250. Its specialty is restoring and preserving mixed-use buildings with the most well-known projects located in the East End of Washington serving as catalysts for the redevelopment of the entire area.
