Droplet Biosciences is a liquid biopsy company…and to us, “liquid” means lymphatic fluid. We’re using lymph to transform how molecular residual disease (MRD) is detected. By analyzing lymphatic fluid harvested from surgical drains immediately following a tumor resection, we assess the presence of residual cancer to help guide post-surgery physician choices regarding radiation and chemotherapy (adjuvant treatment). Our one-time MRD test detects presence or absence of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), upstream of traditional blood-based MRD assays. The high concentration of ctDNA in lymphatic fluid delivers enhanced test performance when it matters most. These results, when coupled with tumor pathology, enable more informed and confident adjuvant care decisions. At Droplet Biosciences, we are expanding precision oncology by leveraging new biofluids to bring clearer answers, earlier.
