About Dubain Suomi-koulu

Dubain Suomi-koulu is an after school activity. Our purpose is to support parents in their efforts to transfer Finnish language and heritage to their children. We are part of the world-wide Finnish language schools abroad -network which is supported by the Finnish government. The operation of our language school relies on active volunteers. We meet on a weekly basis. On average we have about 120 children aged 1-12 years, divided into separate groups based on their age and skill level. The youngest children learn by music & movement, play, and crafts while the older ones follow the Finnish language curriculum used in schools in Finland.
