The East Africa Centre for Child Neurodevelopment (EACCND) is on a mission to ensure every child in East Africa has the chance to reach their full potential. Based in Kenya, we focus on the science of early brain development — especially the first 1,000 days of life — to transform outcomes for children, families, and communities. Our work blends neuroscience, psychology, and public health with practical, culturally relevant strategies. We train parents, caregivers, educators, and community leaders to understand the developing brain, regulate their own emotions, and build safe, connected, and nurturing environments for children.
