About EconEd

EconEd began when we noticed many of our classmates didn’t know how to manage their money. We saw friends spend their savings on takeout and small purchases, then rely on their parents for more. It wasn’t their fault because no one had ever taught them. We started EconEd, a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to help change that. We teach financial literacy to younger students through in-school lessons and free online tutoring. Our sessions focus on saving, budgeting, and smart spending in a way that is simple, practical, and easy to understand. By reaching students early, we hope to prevent bad habits before they form and give kids the tools they need to make smart financial choices for life. Our goal is to build a generation that understands money and feels confident using it.
