About Ecosom Manufacturing

Ecosom Manufacturing is a Somali social enterprise at the forefront of the circular economy. We transform invasive species like Prosopis juliflora and agricultural waste into valuable, sustainable products. Our manufacturing portfolio includes clean-burning biofuel briquettes, high-nutrient livestock feed, and soil-enriching biochar. By creating affordable alternatives to charcoal and enhancing food security, we directly combat deforestation, poverty, and climate change. Our model empowers local communities, creates green jobs, and restores degraded land, proving that economic and environmental progress go hand-in-hand for a climate-resilient Somalia.
