About EdUCate! University City Foundation for Public Schools

EdUCate! is a non-profit foundation established in 1993 with the goal of providing supplemental funds to all five University City public schools. The University City Foundation for Public Schools uses the legal Doing Business As (DBA) title, EdUCate! EdUCate! raises funds for those “out of pocket” extras that the school district and PTA can not provide. We incorporated in 1993 and gained recognition from the IRS and State of California as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Foundation (Federal Tax I.D.33-0539815). Everyone knows good schools are a key to good neighborhoods, and the idea of adding some private and business support to the schools’ budgets resonate deeply. These events have helped build community support for our fine schools: * Honor A Teacher * Dollar a Day * Oktoberfest at Standley Park * Taste of the Triangle - Local restaurants and businesses continue to support the event, which is still our biggest fundraiser.
