About Education and Family Wellbeing Service (EFWS)
We provide community-based education tutoring and holistic support for children, young people, and families navigating complex needs within the education system. Our strength-based, co-production approach recognizes that domestic abuse, poverty, adverse childhood experiences, racism, and trauma profoundly impact development and wellbeing. We work alongside families to break negative cycles and create pathways to empowerment and belonging. Our Expertise: Drawing on evidence-based research in trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, neuroscience, and social justice frameworks, we support families facing multi-layered challenges including neurodiversity, mental health difficulties, youth justice involvement, exploitation, displacement trauma, and SEND navigation. Our Approach: We understand that challenging behaviors often reflect underlying pain—anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, and dysregulation. Our multi-disciplinary team, with specialist safeguarding expertise, creates safe spaces where children and young people can heal, learn, and thrive. What We Offer: - Trauma-informed education tutoring - Family advocacy and SEND system navigation - CAMHS support guidance - Community belonging and empowerment - Expert safeguarding and contextual safeguarding support For parents and carers struggling to support their child through complex systems, we provide not just services, but partnership, understanding, and hope.
