About Education Bridge

Education Bridge is a nonprofit organization that is committed to empowering young people, through holistic education, to end poverty and violent conflict in their communities. We believe in the power of education to move people and communities out of poverty, and to breed sustainable peace. We are aware of the lack of educational opportunities to many young people around the world. We work in South Sudan, the world youngest country, and one of the most fragile states. Over 70% of primary and secondary school aged children in South Sudan are out-of-school according to a recent report by UNICEF. We are on a mission to change that. We build and operate a growing network of secondary schools, providing access to quality secondary education, innovative peace education and transformative leadership development; and provide inservice teacher training for primary school teachers.
