About Edward Musonera Foundation

The Edward Musonera Foundation is a faith based, women-led nonprofit organization based in Kigali, Rwanda, dedicated to empowering and transforming the lives of society’s most vulnerable members, including teen mothers, youth struggling with drug addiction, and vulnerable children from marginalized backgrounds. Founded in honor of the late Edward Musonera, whose life was defined by compassion, generosity, and service, our mission is to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity to young people who have been overlooked or left behind. We believe that every individual, regardless of their past or circumstances, has the potential to rebuild their life, contribute positively to society, and inspire others. Our programs focus on spiritual mentorship, education support, vocational skills training, rehabilitation, and community reintegration. We work closely with local communities, government agencies, and partners to provide safe spaces, psychosocial support, and practical pathways to independence. Through storytelling, advocacy, and hands-on initiatives, we seek to challenge stigma, break cycles of poverty, and create a society where no young person is defined solely by their struggles.
