About El Monte Sagrado

Amidst the mystical beauty of Taos, New Mexico, El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa™ offers a secluded sanctuary in harmony with the Earth. Experience exquisite accommodations inspired by Native American and global culture and a dramatic art collection graced by world-famous artists. Visit the AAA Four-Diamond award-winning De la Tierra restaurant for cuisine that will enliven your day. Experience the extraordinary treatments of the Living Spa™ designed to heal mind, body and spirit, or simply meditate in the Sacred Circle among towering trees and waterfalls, and breathe in the tranquility. El Monte Sagrado, well-known as a leader in alternative energy, blends its commitment to sustainability with a setting of indulgent luxury. Of special note for our environmentally conscious travelers is the Biolarium and The Living Machine, a holistically designed eco-structure that incorporates recycled water, plants, and rock formation into a self-sustaining ecosystem that flows throughout the resort and creates an enclosed, lush sanctuary around the resort’s pool. By treating and recycling the water with natural filters and purifiers, El Monte Sagrado is able to sustain a lush and fertile year-round environment, even at 7,000 feet above sea level. With sunlit fish-filled streams, tropical flora, and the sounds of calming waterfalls, the nurturing effects of El Monte Sagrado’s Living Spa begin from the moment of your arrival. Come see why we have attracted prestigious attention from Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler, which named us to the elite Gold List. * AAA Four-Diamond Award * Member - Preferred Hotels & Resorts * 84 culturally-inspired guestrooms, suites & casitas * Dining at De la Tierra * The Living Spa™ * Anaconda Bar * Grand Bohemian Gallery * Sacred Circle with lush waterfall & pond * Concierge
