Elektrina is the engineering team behind Interblock, one of the world's leading developers of electronic gaming machines with a major presence on Nevada casino floors and installations worldwide. Our core problem is one of the most rigorous in applied engineering: guaranteeing true randomness. Not algorithmically simulated randomness — actual physical randomness, produced by real mechanical systems: automated roulette wheels, bingo machines, live craps games. Our job is to make sure those outcomes are genuinely unpredictable, statistically provable, and trusted by regulators. On top of that, we build the computer vision and AI systems that watch these games in real time — tracking the ball, the dice, the wheel — to detect outcomes automatically, assist croupiers, flag anomalies, and catch fraud before it becomes a problem. It's a combination of precision optics, real-time inference, and the kind of reliability requirements that most software teams never have to think about. This is embedded and edge AI work where failure is not an option. Casino regulators don't accept "it works most of the time." Our team is around 30 engineers based in Slovenia, with roots going back to the mid-1990s. We cover the full stack: embedded hardware, firmware, FPGA, PCB design, computer vision, and application software. We're part of a larger group but operate as a focused engineering unit — the people who actually build the technology that Interblock takes to market globally.
