About Elissa Callen

Elissa Callen is a maker working in painting, drawing, and installation. She collaborates with the natural environment to create the botanical inks, pigments, paper, and sculptural materials that are the foundation of her work. Through the use of ephemera, she seeks to reconsider the role of durability in the manmade objects, ideas and values we produce and consume, followed by their subsequent impact.
