About Elmley Nature Reserve

Welcome to Elmley - a 3,300 estate restored to nature. A place to gather, stay, and explore. On this unique island setting, a forty year-long pioneering nature regeneration project has enabled some of the UK’s most vulnerable wildlife to flourish on a landscape scale. Elmley has an ambitious vision for the future, and along with continuing the inspirational biodiversity restoration work, is focusing on climate adaptation projects and carbon capture initiatives through saltmarsh restoration and the creation of new habitats. We are at the heart, a family run farm, and the only independently owned and managed National Nature Reserve in the UK. With sustainability at our core, Elmley has beautiful and thoughtfully designed places to stay and gather, and a dedicated, thoughtful team. With spectacular landscapes, soul stirring skies and an abundance of wildlife, experience a corporate event venue with a difference.
