About ELTE KRTK Institute of Economics

We are Hungary’s premier institute for economic research and analysis, dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of both domestic and global economic trends and processes. As an independent, non-profit academic organization, we take pride in our rigorous and high-quality research that covers a broad range of economic disciplines, including micro- and macroeconomics, public finance, and theoretical economic analysis. Our research is organized into nine specialized research groups, allowing us to take a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding economic phenomena. Our ultimate goal is to generate new insights and knowledge that can inform policy decisions and promote social well-being, fostering a fairer and more equitable society.
