About Elysian Animal Assisted Therapy, Learning and Interventions

Elysian is a specialist organisation providing therapeutic education, community-based interventions, and professional training for those working with children, young people, and families with complex emotional and mental health needs. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed practice and the power of human–animal connection. We integrate animals into education and therapeutic support through innovative models that help individuals re-engage with learning, life, and relationships. We operate across three connected strands: Therapeutic Education & Alternative Provision – Registered schools and tailored placements for young people with anxiety, trauma, or SEN, often after long periods out of education. Community & Therapy Services – Outreach programmes, family support, and animal-assisted interventions through our Community Interest Company. Training & Development – Accredited qualifications, CPD programmes, and a growing national network to support others working in therapeutic and educational settings. We are passionate about raising standards in therapeutic practice and making high-quality support more accessible. From farm-based schools to online learning platforms, we aim to bring creativity, compassion, and credibility to every part of our work. Elysian is proud to be values-led, person-centred, and always evolving.
