About Empire Living Company

Empire Living Co is The Living Company: A luxury interior design and smart home technology practice based in Mumbai, with a presence in Dubai. We were founded on a single conviction: that design and technology are not two separate conversations. They are one. Most projects treat smart home systems as a checklist item - addressed after the walls are up and the finishes are chosen. At Empire, technology is part of the design from the very first sketch. We call this Intuitive Interior Design. The result is spaces that feel effortless to inhabit. Technology that disappears into the architecture. Interiors that are at once visually precise and deeply liveable. Every detail - from the acoustic treatment to the lighting temperature to the grain of the timber - is considered in relation to the person who will live there. Our work spans three disciplines: Interior: bespoke residential and commercial design rooted in timeless elegance, quality materials, and personal expression. Technology: seamless integration of home automation, AV systems, private cinema, acoustic design, and experiential environments. Collections: handcrafted furniture and collectible design objects created with master artisans, honouring heritage and resisting mass production. We collaborate with a curated selection of world-leading brands — including Savant, Audio Group Denmark, K-Array, ABB, and Next Level Acoustics — to ensure every project meets an uncompromising standard. Our studio is housed in the historic New Empire Cinema building in Fort, Mumbai — a heritage space that embodies the same philosophy we bring to every project. We design our spaces for the people who will inhabit them.
