About Employers Against Domestic Abuse Alliance
Domestic abuse affects far too many lives - an estimated 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men will experience it at some point. While some may believe this is a personal matter, the truth is that its impact extends into the workplace. We see it in absenteeism, reduced productivity, low morale, and the emotional toll it takes on employees, colleagues, and our culture. At The Alliance, we believe that every employee deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered - both at home and at work. That's why we founded our company and created the Safe Place Workplace Program. The Safe Place Workplace Program is the cornerstone of services provided by The Alliance. We work with employers to implement training, provide resources, and remove the barriers that prevent employees who are experiencing domestic abuse from getting the help they need. There are seven components to The Alliance's Safe Place Workplace Program: 1. Senior Executive Pledge 2. Domestic Abuse Awareness Policy Implementation 3. Training for all employees, supervisors, and HR 4. Safety Plan 5. Posters and Notices 6. NEO & Onboarding 7. Careers Page Commitment The Alliance can provide resources for any employer of any size to implement a Safe Place Workplace Program with varying levels of hands-on guidance from our team. Contact us for more information about our programs and membership.
