Ensure Legal was founded by Stephen Kwok, a Brisbane-based commercial and property lawyer after more than 12 years of experience in both private practice and in-house. Before starting his own firm, Stephen practised law at top-tier firms in the likes of MinterEllison and Norton Rose Fulbright, and also held senior in-house legal positions at a commercial property fund and a national furniture company. Ensure Legal's core service areas are: - Leasing (retail, commercial and industrial), acting for both landlords and tenants; - Capital transactions - Purchase and disposal of retail centres, commercial buildings, industrial, childcare and hospitality assets; - Property development (residential, commercial, industrial and mixed use), including conveyancing; and - Business purchases, sales, and franchising. Stephen's clients include shopping centre and commercial property and building owners, real estate investment trusts (REITs), national tenants in various industries (portfolio leasing), property developers (residential and mixed use), local and international financiers and lenders, business owners and high net worth individuals. Stephen and his team are proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese at a business level, and have a proven track record of advising Chinese speaking clients on Australian real estate projects and commercial property transactions.
