About EntreNous Community Empowerment

Founded in 2012, EntreNous’ mission is to provide a comprehensive and culturally relevant approach to youth development that affords at-promise young people, ages 18-29, the opportunity to secure a high school diploma while developing occupational skills - all within the scope of leadership development and self-sufficiency. EntreNous seeks to build economic sustainability for traditionally marginalized youth, families and communities by providing no-cost education, occupational programs, resources, and guidance. EntreNous possesses not only the capacity and infrastructure to participate in the CSET 2.0 program as a collaborative partner with YBUSA and other regional partners, but also the competency to infuse this opportunity into the current structure for the benefit of the young people served in and around Compton, California. Within EntreNous, opportunities exist for community advocacy, leadership development, career pathways, counseling, training in construction, hospitality and culinary arts, information technology/logistics, and the ability to obtain an accredited high school diploma – all complementary to the CSET 2.0 activities. With an annual budget of nearly $1.1 million, 13 staff each play a critical role in ensuring quality programming. On an annual basis, EntreNous serves between 120 – 150 youth. EntreNous has one program site, Compton YouthBuild in Compton, California.
