About Environmental Crisis Group

The Environmental Crisis Group (ECG) is an initiative to support environmental activists. The ECG team supports environmental human rights defenders and activists in Russia to overcome difficult and dangerous obstacles to their urgent work. We systematically monitor cases of intimidation and threats against environmental defenders and provide targeted assistance for those in need.
