About Equilibrio Massage Therapy

Equilibrio is San Diego's leading pregnancy massage practice, serving thousands of expectant families since 2004. We specialize in research-based, trauma-informed massage for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—helping our clients find comfort, relief, and balance through every stage of their journey. WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT: We don't just offer pregnancy massage—we've built our entire practice around it. Our team has deep expertise in prenatal bodywork, from managing pregnancy discomfort (sciatica, round ligament pain, pelvic girdle pain) to supporting optimal fetal positioning through techniques like Spinning Babies. We're obsessed with your comfort and safety, and we're constantly diving into the research literature to provide the best possible care. Deep tissue massage for pregnancy? Absolutely. Foot massage inducing labor? We're calling B.S. We slay prenatal massage myths because we believe you deserve evidence-based care. BODY-POSITIVE, JUDGEMENT FREE CARE: All bodies of all sizes deserve great massage. We've built a practice where there's no body shaming, no fat blaming, no diet culture. Our massage therapists are trained to customize positioning, bolstering, and techniques to accommodate every body. We treat fat tissue as the important, essential tissue it is—not something to dig through to get to muscle. Every client deserves comfort, respect, and a massage that works WITH their body. OUR CULTURE: We're a team-based practice that values mentorship, professional development, and fair wages. We believe massage therapists who love their jobs deliver better service to families—so we've built a workplace culture that nourishes and supports our team professionally and personally. We're training therapists who want more than just a job—they want to build real expertise and career mastery in pregnancy massage. Whether you're looking for expert care or a massage therapist interested in joining a team that values growth and excellence, we'd love to connect!
