About Eric Chung for Michigan

Eric Chung is running to flip Michigan’s 10th congressional district (Macomb and Oakland County north of Detroit), one of the most critical open swing seats that will decide control of the House of Representatives. He grew up there as a child of an auto worker and immigrants from Vietnam. Eric's dad was laid off during the 2008 Recession like thousands of other workers, and Eric became determined to get the strongest education possible to advocate for his family and other working families in Michigan. He graduated from Michigan public schools, became the first in his high school to go to Harvard College and Yale Law School, and served for the past two years in the Commerce Department implementing the CHIPS and Science Act after the chips shortage derailed the state’s automotive industry. Eric was previously a public policy lawyer at Covington and also served as a special counsel for Senator Durbin and the Senate Judiciary Committee to assist with the confirmation process of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.
