About ERSA (Expedition Readiness and Safety Academy)

Expedition Readiness and Safety Academy (ERSA INC) is a premier training organization dedicated to preparing individuals and teams for operations in remote, high-risk, and wildlife-prone environments. With deep roots in expedition leadership, firearms instruction, and field logistics, ERSA delivers world-class, scenario-driven training built for the real world. Our flagship program—the Polar Bear Safety & Firearm Handling (PBS) course—combines non-lethal deterrence techniques, field safety protocols, defensive readiness, and expedition logistics. The program includes two required online pre-course certifications and a multi-day, in-person training experience. Designed for scientists, field operators, expedition teams, and wilderness professionals, ERSA provides the tools needed to lead safely under pressure. Every element of our training is shaped by our four core tenets: Safety First: Every decision starts with safety—of people, teams, and the environment. Structured Discipline: We train with purpose and repeatable systems to create reliable results. Operational Readiness: From mindset to logistics, we ensure teams are ready when it counts. Professional Instruction: Our team brings clarity, leadership, and field-tested knowledge. ERSA’s training covers practical firearms safety, wildlife encounter protocols, perimeter planning, and real-world scenario drills—all tailored to support your team’s standard operating procedures and mission objectives.
