About European Coffee Federation (ECF)

The European Coffee Federation (ECF) represents 90% of coffee imported and manufactured in the European Union. Based in Brussels, ECF brings together the full European coffee value chain, from green coffee traders and roasters to soluble coffee manufacturers, decaffeinators and logistics operators. As a trusted interlocutor with EU institutions and international partners, ECF provides evidence-based insights on how policy decisions translate into real economic, environmental and operational impacts across a global value chain. ECF also convenes dialogue between policymakers, producing-country partners and industry, supporting realistic and forward-looking policy approaches. Founded in 1981, ECF represents 16 national associations and 47 companies, speaking for over 750 companies across Europe.
