About everwave

everwave is a blockchain-based Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) facilitating an online collaborative music production platform. Our core product is a web app where members of the DAO can connect through their wallets, produce music together, and get rewarded. But everwave is also a: Distributor Publisher Marketplace Token ($WVE) Creation tool Record-label How does it work? Artists from all over the world collaborate remotely and create versions from an original track. These versions put together form a "wave". The wave and its versions are minted and sold on our marketplace and distributed on music streaming platforms. Our governance system is based on a DAO, which means that decisions are made by consensus among the members. All revenues generated by the music are redistributed fairly among all contributors. Why blockchain? The use of blockchain technology in the music industry has the potential to revolutionize how music is distributed, licensed, and owned. The decentralized and transparent nature of blockchain technology enables new models of music distribution, where artists can connect directly with fans and receive a larger portion of the revenue generated from their music. Additionally, the use of smart contracts can automate the licensing process and make it more transparent and efficient. Finally, the blockchain can also serve as a secure and immutable ledger of ownership rights, helping to reduce disputes over copyright and royalty payments.
