About ExactET Systems Inc.

Our company converts urban landscapes with outdated timer-based irrigation systems to Climate Controlled Irrigation (CCI). CCI is an automated process that follows best horticultural practices of deeper, less frequent watering ensuring the optimum amount of water is applied to the landscape only when necessary; not just because it is Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. The system uses a cellular modem to avoid the pitfalls of WIFI and building security concerns. For most clients, the system pays for itself in water cost savings within one summer or less while providing measurable performance metrics to support environmental initiatives. We create greener, healthier landscapes using up to 60% less water while also reducing the fertilization requirement by 40% or more (nutrient leaching caused by over-watering). Our clients are saving millions of liters of water, thousands in unnecessary water & fertilization costs, while maintaining a green healthier landscape. A key to our success has been the investment in highly accurate weather stations that provide real-time ET and rainfall measurement avoiding the issue of garbage-in, garbage-out caused by partial, and often inaccurate, predictive weather forecasts from unreliable free weather sources. ExactET is performance based so we always ensure to provide maximum value to our customers. The CCI technology includes an app for remote access that streamlines operational efficiencies offering full central control functionality that can include leak detection and advanced troubleshooting. Building Operations staff receive automated status updates without travelling to site. Should a large leak or crisis occur, the system will automatically detect the issue and shut down. The app also allows for simple processes like shutting a system off remotely for line painting.
