About Excellentia Airline Academy

Through our two long established South African flight schools, Skyhawk Aviation and Aeronav Academy, Excellentia Airline Academy has over 40 years of experience training professional and recreational pilots from all over the world. We have an exceptional fleet of 30 training aircraft and counting, including the new Sling NGT, the Cessna 172, Piper Archer, Piper Seneca 111, Diamond DA20-C1, and Diamond DA42 Twinstar. Our growing and varied fleet ensures a wide variety of training environments and we have exciting plans to grow to over 100 aircraft by the end of 2027. As a group, we offer a comprehensive range of pilot training programs designed to take students from their first flight to the flight deck of a commercial airliner. Courses include the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Night Rating, Hour Building, Instrument and Simulator training, Multi-Engine, and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). We also provide ground school for PPL and CPL, Instructor Ratings, and DFE flight testing for PPL, CPL, and ATP. Students can advance further with Type Ratings on the A320 and Boeing 737 series. Accommodation, transport, and post-training employment support are available, including the option to join our training staff on completion of your Instructors Rating, ensuring a complete, career-focused experience from day one. Excellentia Airline Academy is the trading name of EAA Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2024/572684/07). Flight training is conducted under ATO licences held by Skyhawk Aviation Ltd (SACAA/1147/ATO & SACAA/1673/ATO) and Aeronav Academy Ltd (SACAA/1110/ATO), both wholly owned and operated by the EAA Holdings Group.
