About Exercise Physiology & Performance Laboratory

The Exercise Physiology & Performance Laboratory at Washington State University provides research, teaching, and exercise testing opportunities to WSU students, faculty, and the Pullman community. Our mission is to improve human athletic performance, health, and quality of life through the accurate assessment of fitness levels and physical activity behavior. The EPPL's three separate, but equally important agendas: 1. Research With research, we examine factors which may facilitate or impede physical activity behavior during pregnancy and assess physical activity and fitness among various populations. 2. Teaching We enhance student learning through the practical application of exercise physiology information. 3. Exercise testing We optimize athletic performance through exercise and body composition testing.
