About Expert Communication Systems GmbH

Expert Communication Systems GmbH specializes in content management and content delivery technologies: The company behind SMC, the web-based XML editorial system and JAMES, the smart content delivery system for intelligent information. The editorial system SMC | Smart Media Creator, the company's central product, relies on modern web technologies and offers a high level of convenience and maximum efficiency in the creation, management and production of publications for technical documentation and marketing. These include manuals, catalogs / data sheets, online help, web content and mobile devices, e-learning or marketing media. From the XML-based editorial system, all target media are open to the content: in addition to classic print media, interactive media such as context-sensitive online help, apps for mobile devices, websites, eShops and more. The editorial system, which is already very powerful in its standard scope, can be upgraded with equally powerful additional modules for special tasks, e.g. with extended authoring support, a module for product data management, a TYPO3 connection for web content or an InDesign coupling for graphically reproduced media from the marketing sector. With JAMES, the company offers a smart content delivery system that enables customers to provide their end customers and colleagues with faster, better and more targeted information. JAMES is the central platform for efficient and secure distribution of information and knowledge, whether via web portals or mobile apps. JAMES supports the new iiRD standard, whose widespread acceptance is becoming apparent, thus setting the course for future-proof further development in this product area as well. Efficient processes coupled with a flexible licensing model ensure rapid R.O.I. and equip companies to compete successfully in a dynamic, multilingual environment.
