About Fattoria di Montechiari

Fattoria di Montechiari is a family-owned wine estate located on the top of the Montechiari hill in Montecarlo (Lucca, IT). The estate dates back to the 14th century, where at that time it was used as a border checkpoint ruled by Florentine customs. In 1978, Moreno Panattoni & Catherine Pirmez reorganised the estate and its 11 hectares of vineyards located around the Montechiari hill with the vision of producing highly qualitative and extraordinary wines. Today, Montechiari produces 5 different wines based on the following grape varieties: Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine estate of Fattoria di Montechiari offers visits of the winery, wine degustations as well as private events.
