I help compassionate professionals reduce the impact of secondary trauma and build sustainable systems of care for themselves so they can keep doing work that matters to them and the world. As a somatic coach, I help you to connect with your body, emotions, and intuition as sources of wisdom and guidance. I use a trauma-informed approach that respects your boundaries, safety, and pace of healing. You can't help anyone when you are drowning in other people's pain. Our first step is to help you take a step back and reconnect with your own deep wisdom. We may explore how you can align your values, thoughts, beliefs, and actions or how your archetypes impact your choices and how you show up in the world. Then we identify what other tools or resources you need. Some of the tools I can help you with include ways to: ~ Identify and challenge limited thinking patterns ~ Manage difficult emotions ~ Use self-compassion and mindfulness to center and balance yourself ~ Understand motivation and manage it more effectively ~ Overcome perfectionism and unblock your creativity ~ Create sustainable self-care habits Trauma sensitive coaching starts from a trauma-informed perspective, but adds three essential aspects. 1. Fosters well-being and growth rather than eliminating symptoms. Recognizes the potential for thriving and Post Traumatic Growth. 2. Explores the context of trauma, highlighting systemic issues. Goes beyond self-care to the need for community care and social justice. 3. Recognizes the impact of vicarious trauma and supports providers in self-care and community care to reduce secondary trauma and compassion fatigue. I don't have your answers - your journey is unique. But I have some maps and I know how to get around the pitfalls and quagmires along the way. I know the questions to ask and the tools you need to uncover your own answers.
