It aims to serve and promote them, and help coordinate their actions. One of its purposes, as enshrined in its Memorandum of Association, is to "develop closer social, philosophical, commercial and cultural relations between the French and the British people". The actions and initiatives led by the Fédération have been singled out by the MP for the third constituency for French residents overseas (which includes the United Kingdom) in the "Banc d'Honneur" section of his December 2019 Newsletter.
