About FFS Student Investment Fund

The FFS Student Investment Fund is a selective, student-run program operated through the Fordham Finance Society that provides members with hands-on exposure to three core areas of finance: Sales & Trading (S&T), Equity Research, and Investment Banking (IB). Unlike traditional stock-picking clubs, the Fund is intentionally structured to mirror the full breadth of a professional finance career, giving analysts a realistic and rigorous experience across the disciplines that define the industry. While no real capital is deployed, every decision is treated with the same weight and accountability as a live portfolio. Members are expected to develop well-informed views, communicate them with clarity and conviction, and defend their recommendations in front of senior members. The emphasis is on learning by doing, analysts are held to a high standard from day one. Admission to the Fund is selective by design, ensuring that every member carries an active and meaningful role. Upon joining, analysts are placed into a division aligned with their interests and are expected to contribute consistently each week. Each division is supported by experienced E-Board members, upperclassmen with direct backgrounds in their respective areas, who serve as mentors and advisors throughout the program.
