About Field & Fern

A lifelong nature nerd and former Paramedic, I’ve traded emergency medicine for the healing power of horticulture. Trained in Garden Design at Sparsholt College, I bridge the gap between clinical well-being and ecological health, helping you create a sanctuary that is as restorative for you as it is for the planet. The Field & Fern Approach I advocate for Garden Stewardship—moving away from "disposable" gardening & design, toward a circular, zero-waste philosophy. By reusing existing plants and materials, I reduce reliance on plastics and landfill while building resilient ecosystems designed for a changing climate. My Focus: Ecological Health: Obsessive focus on soil, bugs, and biodiversity. Sustainable: Experimental growing, minimising waste and reusing as much as possible. Nature-Based Wellness: Gardens & garden coaching to improve mental and physical health. I’m here to help you become a guardian of your outdoor space, regenerating the land right outside your door.
