I’m Nicole Marcia, the founder of Fine Balance Counselling & Yoga Therapy, where I provide personalized, comprehensive, and culturally aware trauma-informed care to help individuals enhance resilience and live fuller, more embodied lives. Since 2004, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in the principle of interdependence — the belief that healing happens within relationships and that everyone deserves access to compassionate, considerate care. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22386) and yoga therapist, I integrate existentialist, humanistic, and narrative theories with evidence-based modalities like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). I combine these therapeutic approaches with personalized yoga therapy programs to address somatic, physiological, and emotional trauma, helping clients connect more deeply with themselves and their communities. I offer services virtually and in-person in Vancouver, tailoring care to meet your unique needs. As a registered therapist with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), I specialize in supporting survivors of trauma, including those impacted by systemic violence, oppression, and abuse. My work is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive, ensuring that all community survivors receive the care they deserve.
