About First Generation Professionals of Milwaukee

The mission of First Generation Professionals of Milwaukee is to support the interests and goals of first generation students and professionals in Milwaukee by providing meaningful professional resources and by facilitating cross-generational mentorship. While there are several working definitions of “first generation,” FGPM considers “first generation professional” to be, “the first student or professional in a community, family, or similar group to achieve academic or professional success at a new level, or to enter a new field or industry, and who is seeking the advice or guidance of an established professional within that academic level or field.
