About FIRST Robotics Newfoundland and Labrador

FIRST Newfoundland and Labrador is a division of Levitate Learning, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. We provide exciting mentor-based programs that build science, technology, engineering, and problem solving skills for students across the entire province. We host the annual FIRST Robotics Provincial Championships where students in both of our programs: FIRST Lego League (ages 9 to 14) and FIRST Tech Challenge (ages 14 to 18) compete to be crowned as the provincial champions. Although the organization was incorporated in 2011, the FIRST Lego League competition itself has been ongoing since 2002. FIRST Tech Challenge was introduced to the province in 2025.
