Fitness Industry Council of Canada (FIC) represents the voice of fitness facility operators across Canada. Representing over 7,000 facilities with over 7 million members nationwide, FIC pursues a legislative agenda in hopes of bettering the fitness industry for both consumers and operators. The FIC focusing on advocacy, building partnerships, and promoting the health benefits of exercise. FIC supports, promotes, and protects the industry as essential health infrastructure, lobbying for initiatives like tax deductions for gym memberships to support mental and physical health. FIC aims to work with both industry and government to improve the health and physical activity levels of Canadians through the promotion of initiatives such as the Adult Fitness Tax Credit campaign. FIC is not a training organization or trade show, but rather works with industry partners to solidify the voice of the Canadian Fitness Industry as a solution to Canada’s growing inactivity epidemic. Représentant plus de 7 000 établissements comptant plus de 7 millions d'adhérents à l'échelle nationale, le CCICP mène un programme législatif visant à améliorer le secteur du fitness tant pour les consommateurs que pour les exploitants. Le CCICP se concentre sur la défense des intérêts, l'établissement de partenariats et la promotion des bienfaits de l'exercice physique pour la santé. Le CCICP soutient, promeut et protège le secteur en tant qu'infrastructure de santé essentielle, en faisant pression en faveur d'initiatives telles que les déductions fiscales pour les abonnements à des salles de sport afin de soutenir la santé mentale et physique.
