About Flamingos Online Slovak School

Flamingos is a global online school of the Slovak language and cultural heritage, serving Slovak children and adults living abroad. We offer fun, engaging, and interactive online classes taught by fully qualified Slovak language instructors with specific expertise in teaching Slovak as a foreign or heritage language. Our students range in age from 3 years and up, and we offer both group and individual classes to suit different learning needs and time zones. Currently, our students come from over 25 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Cyprus, and Australia. Our programs are tailored to the unique needs of learners living outside Slovakia – especially children of Slovak families abroad, but also adults and foreigners working or living in Slovakia. We teach all language levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. Our courses also prepare students for formal Slovak language exams or school entrance requirements. Additionally, we support foreigners in Slovakia who seek to better integrate into the local culture, community, and workplace. We support Slovak employers by enhancing the well-being of their foreign employees through language training. What sets Flamingos apart is our strong focus on Slovak heritage. Beyond grammar and vocabulary, our students learn about Slovak traditions, holidays, history, songs, and cultural values. For us, language is not just a skill — it's a bridge to identity and belonging. We help our students reconnect with their roots and bring a piece of Slovakia into their everyday lives, no matter where they live in the world. Our goal is to help Slovak parents living far from their homeland motivate their children to learn the Slovak language and discover Slovak heritage.
