About Flashback Pictures

In an industry caught between corporate safe bets and creative bankruptcy, Flashback Pictures emerges as a defiant voice for authentic storytelling. Founded in 2025 by Daniel Cotroneo, who's decorated resume includes work behind the lens on Mad Men, This Is Us, and the Netflix global #1 music drama A Beautiful Life. Flashback Pictures launches with a simple mission: to make films that leave audiences saying "Damn, I never saw it that way before." With 9 films slated over the next three years, Flashback Pictures rejects the tired IP-driven model choking Hollywood's creative spirit. Instead, the company champions the industry's sidelined storytellers—the visionaries whose voices have been drowned out by sequels. This is cinema that takes risks. Cinema that reminds you why you fell in love with movies in the first place. Flashback Pictures. Old school. New screen.
