About FlaskCon Africa

FlaskCon Africa is the premier, community-driven conference dedicated to the Flask Python web framework on the African continent. As the first and only official Flask conference established outside of the United States, we serve as a vital bridge between the global open-source ecosystem and Africa’s rapidly evolving developer landscape. Our mission is to decentralize technology leadership by providing a world-class platform for African engineers to showcase innovation, share actionable knowledge, and contribute to the global Flask project. From our flagship event in Lagos to our expanding network across the continent, FlaskCon Africa fosters a culture of excellence in backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI deployment. What we do: Global Collaboration: Bringing together international framework creators and local experts. Technical Depth: Hosting deep-dive sessions on eBPF, System Architecture, and Scalable Infrastructure. Community Growth: Fostering a diverse pipeline of talent through dedicated mentorship and inclusivity initiatives. Continental Expansion: Unifying the African tech diaspora across regional hubs to drive home-grown innovation. Join us as we shape the future of Python development in Africa.
