About Flight Club 502

Flight Club 502 is a youth-focused nonprofit 501(c)(3) serving teens ages 13-21. Founded in 2015, our mission is to teach young people STEM education, leadership and decision-making, entrepreneurship, and patriotism through hands-on exposure to all facets of aviation. Since our founding, Flight Club 502 has reached more than 10,000 youth across 112 ZIP codes through outreach programs, events, and partnerships. The organization has supported nearly 1,000 total members and celebrated major aviation milestones, including 429 solos, 273 Private Pilot Licenses, and 10 Instrument Ratings. Flight Club 502 was founded by a group of middle and high school students alongside 3 dedicated volunteers. What began as a small, youth-led dream has grown into a youth-owned and youth-operated organization built on mentorship, opportunity, and community support.
