About FLIP National

"FLIP" is an acronym; it stands for "First-Generation Low-Income Partnership". FLIP National is a national non-profit organization that does advocacy work on behalf of first-generation and/or low-income college students at colleges & universities across the country. We act on our mission by building a community for first-generation and/or low-income students, alumni/ae, faculty, and administrators within and across institutions of higher learning, by crafting, implementing and/or expanding initiatives to address various target areas that affect the success and well-being of first-generation and/or low-income students in institutions of higher learning, and by advocating for policy changes on a macro level to support first-generation and/or low-income students across the country (i.e., legislation, best practices across institutions, changes to university policy, etc.)
