About Focus Ability Community Contribution Company Inc
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects approximately 1 out of 66 people in Canada. It consists of a wide range of conditions, typically involving some degree of difficulty with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech, and nonverbal communication. ASD is also balanced with particular strengths, which vary from person to person. It is classified as a pervasive developmental disorder, with a variety of genetic and environmental causes. April 2nd was World Autism Awareness Day; April itself is World Autism Month. A large part of such events is, of course, awareness. On the Live Stream, we will share a bit of what ASD means to those on the Spectrum, along with comments from a number of professionals who work with people affected by the disorder. We also have a draw for some prizes, so feel free to enter! Of course, donations are welcome, but not required. Although we have a non-profit side to our CCC (Community Contribution Company), we are not a registered charity so we cannot provide any tax receipts.
