The Foundation carries forward the cultural legacy of Elserino Piol — a pioneer in computing and telecommunications, father of venture capital in Italy — who passed away on April 17, 2023. Elserino dedicated his life to innovating for local communities and inspiring change, always believing in the power of young minds and visionary ideas. Our headquarters, EpiHub in Valmorel, is a multifunctional laboratory designed to inspire and share ideas — a meeting place where sustainable and replicable models of social and economic innovation can take shape and spread to other rural communities. We believe in young people and their talent: by creating connections, we can help communities thrive — vibrant, open, and inclusive — contributing to repopulation and a more sustainable future.
