About Food Action Network of Northwestern Ontario

FAN-NWO is a network-building organization that brings people together to co-create socially, ecologically, and economically resilient food systems. We believe that food is a right, not a privilege, and that food systems must be rooted in justice, reciprocity, and circularity. Through collaboration, education, and action, we support regional food economies, emergency preparedness, climate resilience, and community cooperation. We act both upstream, tackling root causes through holistic systemic change, and downstream, through supporting harm-reduction and direct response. Our work honours the lands, waters, and cultures that shape our region, and aims to build food systems that nourish current and future generations.
