About Food Justice NW Aurora

We strive to create a just, sustainable, and complete food environment by mobilizing people, organizations, and businesses; building community wealth; facilitating and nurturing strategic partnerships; and advocating for policy and systems changes. The purpose of the Food Justice NW Aurora to: 1. Create a space for members of the community to meaningfully participate in the process of food system development; 2. Form a representative group of food system actors, supporters, and consumers to ensure that all aspects of the local food system operate with dignity, respect, and ease of access; 3. Identify the broken links and thriving components of the food system, envision the desired food system with our community, and develop strategies and approaches to achieve our food system goals; 4. Leverage and align public and private resources to pursue changes in policies and practices that support and ensure food justice and food sovereignty in NW Aurora.
